Chance East is a criminal defense attorney at MayesTelles, representing clients charged with a variety of misdemeanors. Chance was born and raised outside Ogden, Utah. Before college, Chance worked various jobs including construction, roofing, and multiple warehouse jobs.
Chance then graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Later he earned his juris doctorate from Arizona State University. During law school, Chance was involved in the Marshall-Brenna Constitutional Literacy Project, where he taught high school students about the law and how to make legal arguments for the purpose of competing against other students at a national level.
Prior to joining MayesTelles, Chance worked as a prosecutor at the Pima County Attorney’s Office and the Glendale City Prosecutor’s office. Chance also interned at both the Mesa City Prosecutor’s Office and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and advocated for victims at a non-profit.
During his time as a prosecutor, Chance prosecuted hundreds of cases, gained valuable Courtroom experience, and learned how prosecutors prepare cases. Chance now brings those skills and knowledge to defend and advocate for his clients.
Chance enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and his two dogs, both Catahoula Leopard Dogs.
