I spent 20 years as a Phoenix Police Officer where I worked as a patrol officer in the Maryvale Precinct (southwest Phoenix) for 7 years. As a patrol officer, I would provide an initial investigation into criminal cases and traffic enforcement along with assisting in civil processes.
I later spent 13 years as a detective in the Violent Crimes Bureau, where I primarily investigated Armed Robbery, Aggravated Robbery, Robbery, Extortion, Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Human Smuggling, Misconduct with Weapons, and Burglary. I also investigated Homicides, Sexual Assaults, Theft, and Forgeries that would arise from my primary investigative functions.
I was assigned to two task forces: one with ATF Phoenix where I investigated gun crimes at the state and federal level and the other with ICE and DPS investigating violent crimes.
After my time with the Phoenix Police Department, I spent 5 years as a Maricopa County Attorney’s Office Detective where I worked as an investigator with the Capital Litigation Bureau. My primary responsibility was to investigate mitigation, aggravation, and assist in trial and sentencing preparation.
