Types of Cocaine Charges
Chapter 34 of Title 13 of the Arizona Revised Statutes lists all drug offenses. Arizona groups drug offenses by class, and there are three classes: prescription-only drugs, dangerous drugs, and narcotic drugs. Cocaine is considered a narcotic drug per § 13-3401 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. Offenses relating to cocaine include, but are not limited to –

Cocaine Possession:
Per § 13-3408 of the ARS, it is illegal to knowingly possess or use a narcotic drug such as cocaine. In Arizona, this is a class 4 felony. People convicted of this class 4 felony who do not have any prior related felonies might be eligible for probation. -
Trafficking in Cocaine:
Transporting for sale, importing, or exporting cocaine to/from the state of Arizona is a class 2 felony. Those convicted of this class 2 felony are not eligible for probation or pardon. -
Cocaine Manufacturing:
Manufacturing cocaine is a class 2 felony. Those convicted of cocaine manufacturing are not eligible for pardon or probation. -
Sale &
Distribution of Cocaine:
Possession of cocaine for sale is a class 2 felony and distributing cocaine to another person is also a class 2 felony. Those convicted are not eligible for pardon or probation.
